The Community Playhouse of Lancaster County is in its run of the play Eb Scrooge- A Southern Fried Carol at the Barr St auditorium. The play is the classic Christmas Carol set in a southern town. Eb Scrooge is performed by Chris Smith. He is visited by the three ghosts of past, present, and future. As a result, he has a life-changing epiphany.
The play offers many humorous moments and changes to the original to keep the story fresh. The audience gets involved in part of the performance. The Play will be held tonight (Nov 30th at 7:30), tomorrow night (Dec 1st at 7:30) and Sunday (Dec 2nd, 3pm).
In past years, the Playhouse has offered a performance of Charlie Brown Christmas. This play is the Christmas offering this year. tomorrow night about the change, it was explained that if was felt that Charlie Brown Christmas might become a stale performance, and a variety was a need. CharlieBrown may return in the years to come.
Over the years, the Playhouse has continued to perform quality experiences for the Lancaster Community and continues to plan for the future. If you have a couple of hours in between the shopping trips, this is a family-friendly event. Your attendance helps keep quality performance in our community.
