Boo Fun Fest Just Around the Corner!

The highly anticipated annual event, Boo Fun Fest, is coming up Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 6 to 8 P.M. at City Hall, 216 South Catawba Street, Lancaster, SC.  Family-friendly activities are free of charge and include kids games, candy, music, costume and pumpkin decorating contests, popcorn, beverages, D.J., and more!  With new additions for kids of all ages, the event has been scheduled for the Saturday prior to Halloween.  Children six and under will enjoy the Kidz Korner and all ages will be treated to Glass House, Smoke House, Lancaster County Library Bookmobile, Informational Booths, and Free Tap Snap Photos.

Attendees will want to dress as their favorite characters and compete for gift cards and trophies in these categories:  Best Pet Costume, Best Baby, Scariest, Best Couple, Funniest, Most Unique, and Best Handcrafted.  During the festivities, the winners of Scarecrows on Main and Pumpkin Decorating Contest will also be announced.

In addition to the free Boo Fun Fest event, a Haunted Lantern Tour will benefit the Community Playhouse of Lancaster County.  Geared to all ages, the $3 per person tour includes spooky stories about local characters and will begin behind the Historic Springs House at 201 West Gay Street, Lancaster.

Folks interested in participating in the Pumpkin Decorating Contest should drop off decorated pumpkins by 5pm, October 26, 2018 at City Hall, 216 S.
