“Although this storm has weakened, we will experience serious impacts in Lancaster County,” said Sheriff Barry Faile.  “High winds could down power lines, cause property damage, and scatter debris on roadways.  Heavy rains could produce flooding.  Much of the impact of the storm likely will occur during the hours of darkness tonight and into tomorrow morning making driving conditions particularly hazardous.  Citizens should stay sheltered until the storm passes and not attempt to move about outside or on our roadways.  I also encourage folks who have relatives or friends who might be vulnerable to the effects of a storm such as this to check on them today before the storm hits to make certain they will be safe and have what they need to get through this event.”

Anyone with information about this or any other case should call the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office at 803-283-3388 or contact Midlands Crimestoppers in one of the following ways: dial 888-CRIME-SC (888-274-6372), log onto and click on the “Submit a Tip” tab, or download the P3 Tips App for Apple or Android devices.
