Theft of Apple Watches

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office requests assistance from the public in identifying a person who broke into and stole two Apple watches from the AT&T Store at 10022 Charlotte Highway in Indian Land Friday night, May 11, 2018.  An employee of a nearby business arrived for work a little before 8:30 Saturday morning and noticed broken glass on the front of the AT&T Store.  The responding deputy found that a large rock had been thrown through the glass.  Images captured on the store video surveillance system show a car believed to be a Buick Century pull up to the front of the store at 10:42 p. m. A black male appearing to be between 5’10” and 6’ tall threw the rock through the window and entered the store through the broken window.  The man had a beard and a mustache and was wearing a black hoodie over a maroon shirt, blue jeans, maroon and black Nike shoes, and a black ball cap.  He entered the store and grabbed two Apple watches before leaving the way he came in.  He was in the store less than a minute.  The car was driven by a second person.  No images of the car or its driver are available.  Attached are photographs of the burglar.

“I encourage anyone with information about the burglar, the car, or this incident to contact us,” said Sheriff Barry Faile.  “You do not have to tell us who you are.  Just tell us what you know and we will take it from there.”
